Based on our international experience and the new Skilled Labour Immigration Act announced for 2023, AWL has launched a holistic East Africa project with a special focus on recruiting workers from Kenya and Uganda.<\/p>

While the German population is ageing rapidly, causing problems on the labour market, Uganda and Kenya have a very young population. These young people often have very good university degrees or vocational qualifications, but often end up unemployed or in under-qualified jobs due to the economic conditions.<\/p>

We want to tap into this potential for the German labour market and at the same time offer young people a professional career in Germany. That is why we have launched the \"Learn German to work in Germany\" project.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

As part of this project, the interested parties are first prepared linguistically and culturally for their future stay in Germany and then put in touch with selected employers in Germany according to their professional qualifications.<\/p>

The focus here is on permanent employment and vocational training in Germany. For students, however, we also arrange holiday jobs for up to three months during the semester break to make it easier for them to move to Germany later on and to shorten the settling-in phase.<\/p>

We selected Nexus International University in the Ugandan capital Kampala as the first university partner for the \"Learn German to work in Germany\" project and concluded a cooperation agreement.<\/p>

Further cooperation agreements for this personnel project were signed with Nkumba University in Entebbe, Victoria University in Kampala and Riara University in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.<\/p>

Agreements with other universities in Kenya and Uganda are at an advanced stage of preparation and will be finalised shortly.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
